Spring is here and Easter is on its way! Welcome the seasonal shift with an Easter table setting that will be remembered for years to come. We were lucky to have expert stylist Kathleen Varner create a dining tablescape at Christopher Collection where she shared her tips and tricks to create the best seasonal settings!
Kathleen has a talent for making every table look chic. We were so excited to sit down with her to get all the tips on keeping your Easter table looking seasonal, beautiful, and sophisticated. Using our collection of versatile tabletop pieces, Kathleen first laid a foundation of everyday and seasonal pieces. She then layered the unique textures and hues found in blooming springtime florals to create the Easter touch we’re all searching for.
For every day, a simple tablescape can follow a consistent or simple color scheme be created by keeping the tabletop items and florals in the same color family. To style our dining table, she brought in punchy fringe tulips and coral charm peonies to add the wild and organic aesthetic to a traditional Easter table.
“Never say no to a peony.” – Kathleen Varner
Pro Tip from Kathleen: To create a fuller bloom, gently place your finger on the thicker part of the petal where it is connected to the stem and pop the tulip petal backwards to open. Once you make your way around the flower, the tulip will have the same effect as a large wildflower.
When you want springtime blooms to be the focal point for a tablescape, use clear, plain glasses to ensure the florals will pop. Another tip: make sure the height of your tabletop décor is low enough so that there are no obstacles for table conversation.
