Little House on Linden was a premier art gallery founded in Homewood, Alabama, by Gene and Martha Smith in 1960. At a time when options were few, it became known for championing Southern artists while offering both fine art and custom framing to the region. Over the years, the gallery grew into a beloved and influential brand, ultimately becoming a major art destination throughout the Southeast.
Following the passing of Mr. Gene Smith, the gallery transitioned ownership and was eventually reimagined as what is now Christopher Collection. In honor of the building’s original spirit, we named our exclusive upholstery line Little House—a tribute to decades of beauty, creativity, and the rich history that continues to shape this space.
