Inventory Control Specialist
General Job Description: The Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing purchasing and inventory systems within Christopher Collection. This individual makes sure the day-to-day processes related to procurement run smoothly and that all involved team members follow proper procedures.

Experience with Square POS or a similar retail accounting system preferred.

Furniture experience preferred.
Primary Areas of Responsibility:

Place and coordinate orders and create Purchase Orders for Christopher Collection (In-Store & Online)
-
Fill out any related paperwork – open new accounts, credit card authorizations, etc.

Oversee order shipment dates and statuses and, when necessary, coordinate freight deliveries to the correct address (store, warehouse, client, customer)

Track and communicate with design and retail teams when orders will arrive (full or partial), so the team is best prepared to receive deliveries

Reconcile deliveries with billing statements to ensure products and charges match

Assist store team in handling damaged pieces (repair vs. return)

File damage claims if needed for items that arrive broken (store manager will communicate which items will need a claim), and ensure replacement is sent or credit is issued

Support the Controller with billing for the receiving/delivery of orders

Assist with printing checks and uploading supporting documentation for vendor bills and employee reimbursements

Once sales are complete, file all paperwork with appropriate vendor or project

Track commission payments for artists and designers and notify the Assistant Controller when payments need to be processed

Data input into Square (POS system) to ensure information on tags is correct

Oversee inventory management, including an accurate count, what items we have, what items we need, etc.

Provide guidance for the processing of deliveries and input into our POS system

Responsible for pricing strategy for CC, as well as all warehouse and discount sales, including strategy for tagging at discount sales events

Assist with remote CC antique shows (ex: markets in Atlanta, NC, TX)

Analyzed product and inventory data across online and in-store channels to identify trends, improve stock efficiency, and reduce discrepancies; prepared actionable reports to support cross-functional team decisions.

Manage communication for dropship inventory additions and actively monitor stock levels to ensure accuracy, availability, and timely updates across platforms.

Coordinate product arrivals with Bespoke Transport.

Other Administrative duties, as assigned.
