An ornate Louis XVI settee dating back to the late 18th century, a gorgeous piece in remarkable condition. Built from walnut and shaped with skill, the wood frame is intricately detailed, featuring a seamless ribbon motif with acanthus leaves. The back crest of the settee flows gracefully into two sloping arms with matching manchette pad rests and scroll-carved knuckles. The rail at the base of the settee is upheld by seven tapered legs, each terminating in an angular spade foot. The entire piece is upholstered in a luxurious, olive-green velvet and secured with aged brass studs, giving this classic piece an enhanced level of richness and beauty.
