San Juan Nepomuceno was a Spanish ship launched in 1765 in Guarnizo, which is located in the region of Cantabria, Spain. This ship was a notable vessel of the Spanish Navy during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It was named after Saint John of Nepomuk, a Czech saint, and martyr. San Juan Nepomuceno participated in several significant naval engagements, including the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, where it fought bravely against the British Royal Navy. Despite its valiant efforts, the ship was ultimately captured by the British during the battle. San Juan Nepomuceno's legacy lives on as a symbol of Spain's naval history and its contributions to maritime warfare during the Age of Sail.
