A stunning 19th century French oak and marble top counter, combining the warmth of solid provincial oak with the cool elegance of a thick original marble slab — a pairing that is quintessentially French and timelessly beautiful. The substantial oak base features beautifully paneled cabinet doors with period hardware, built with the robust joinery and generous proportions of 19th century French commercial and domestic craftsmanship. Crowning the piece is a magnificent original marble top — thick, weighty, and bearing the natural veining and aged surface that only genuine antique stone possesses. Sourced directly from France, this versatile piece transitions effortlessly from its original setting into a kitchen island, bathroom vanity, entry console, dining sideboard, or boutique retail counter. A rare and exceptional marriage of materials that brings 170 years of French character and soul into any interior.
