A supremely chic pair of 20th century Belgian end tables in the Louis XVI style, painted in a soft, chalky white tone that perfectly captures the cool, neoclassical elegance of the period and its enduring 20th century revival. Crafted from solid oak with the slender fluted columns, delicate turned stretchers, and refined architectural proportions that are the unmistakable hallmarks of Louis XVI furniture design, each table features a single smooth-running drawer with elegant original hardware and a practical lower display shelf — beautifully functional and impeccably proportioned. The painted finish has developed a lovely gently aged patina over the decades, with the subtle warmth of the oak grain showing through in all the right places, lending each piece an authentic character that distinguishes genuine antique painted furniture from any modern reproduction. Offered as a matching set of two, these end tables are the ideal bedside companions or flanking tables for a sofa or fireplace — bringing an immediate note of Continental neoclassical refinement to a bedroom, drawing room, or any interior that appreciates the timeless sophistication of the Louis XVI tradition. Sourced from Belgium, an exceptionally beautiful and versatile pair.
