In 1774, Michel Adam—a perfumer-glovemaker from Versailles—opened his Parisian boutique under this very name. That same year, he introduced his first Eau de Cologne, quickly embraced by the court and famously favored by Marie-Antoinette.

To celebrate the house’s centenary, the original formula was reinterpreted in 1874. Meticulously preserved for generations, the fragrance has now been reintroduced for a modern audience while honoring its historic character.

Fresh citrus and blackcurrant open the scent with brightness, giving way to a refined aromatic heart of herbs and florals. The base settles into soft woods and white musks, creating a balanced, elegant finish that feels both classical and enduring.
