Why did you want to be an interior designer?
I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and earned my Bachelor’s in Interior Design from The University of Alabama. While most kids watched cartoons, I was glued to HGTV. I believe my design talent is a gift from God, inspired by my grandmother, a florist with a great eye for color and style. I have fond memories of flipping through design magazines with my Nana. With internships at top designers in Alabama under my belt, I love bringing my passion for design to Christopher Collection.

What do you love most about designing?
I absolutely adore how interior design allows me to transform a space and infuse it with individuality! It’s akin to weaving a narrative through a captivating blend of colors, textures, and carefully chosen furniture. The most rewarding part is witnessing the joy and satisfaction on people’s faces when they see their newly designed space. It truly is the best feeling!

What are your favorite seasonal shifts for winter?
I absolutely love the shift into winter! It’s the perfect time to swap out lighter fabrics for cozier, heavier materials like wool and knit. Soft throws and plush cushions instantly create a warm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for the colder months. Layering rugs and blankets adds texture and depth to your space, making it feel even more welcoming as the temperatures drop. It’s the ideal time to transition your color scheme to richer, earthier tones. Think deep greens, burgundies, navy blues, and warm golds.

What is your inspiration behind this pad?
I want to create a warm and inviting living room that blends holiday charm with a mix of new and vintage elements. The space features an antique large mirror and rich leather panels, complemented by contemporary local art from Sally Threlkheld. A stunning green Verellen sofa and plush white chairs add a cozy, seasonal touch, evoking the perfect winter space. To complete the ambiance, the Evergreen & Ember Holiday Candle – No. 24 fills the room with the serene blend of Bergamot, Spruce, Cypress, Sage, Palo Santo, and Patchouli, capturing the essence of a crisp winter forest. Its fresh, woodsy scent and warm, grounding undertones create the perfect cozy atmosphere, adding a layer of holiday spirit to the space.
